Jim Watson does a great job putting the material in perspective, by using personal stories, and experiences. He does a great job at preparing students for their exam. I would recommend NYREI to all people trying to get their real estate license.

Jim Watson is an amazing teacher!!! His knowledge and experience in the field helped me so much to learn and get inspired.
Jim Watson made the real estate course fun. I had thought that the course would have been a drag, but to my surprise it was really fun. I learned a lot from Jim, and he makes you more intrigued about the entire industry. Having him as an instructor is a guaranteed blast, as well as an opportunity to really learn. He gets into deep conversations with the entire class, getting everyone to participate and making the room alive. He teaches you about the possibilities in this industry besides the standard sales aspect. I am glad I took his course, and look forward to any future classes he will be teaching.
Jim was great every time i had him in class. He gave tons of real life experience which made the content interesting and he did not just use material from the book like a lot of the other instructors did. Will be seeing you monday morning for tutoring, JIM.

Jim Watson makes the classes at NYREI fun and engaging. You always leave the classroom learning something new. He doesn't read straight out of the book which is refreshing because it shows that he takes his job seriously. He shares his experiences from his life to explain certain topics which helps because when you take the exam, you can remember him telling his story and the answers pop right back into your memory. He also puts together a great study course which prepares you for the exam. I highly recommend taking this class bc you will learn so much in such a short amount of time that taking the exam was a breeze. I am licensed now and couldn't have done it without him. He's a great teacher and great person as well. He took the time to help me land my job after the exam and I am really grateful for the help he has given me when it wasn't in his purview to do so. Jim's Review Class for the NY State Exam is the best prep anyone can take before the test. This is a MUST TAKE class and do so right before you take the State Exam. He has most of the information that is on the test and in the two hour class he explains everything so that the information sinks in. Just one example: He told the story of how he is a very good maker of flashings and how he was called in at the last minute to help make some flashings with a friend. In the story he explains how he likes to do manual work every once in a while and how he grew up in the business so he knows how to bend metal. In any case, this personal story made it easy for me to remember the difference between flashings and sheathing. Thanks Jim! Jill
Jim Watson made the early sunday morning trip into Manhattan well worth it!! Jim is a vibrant and motivational instructor who furthered my interest in RE and its investment opportunities. After class I immediately signed up for the test tutoring he was giving that afternoon. His simplification of the mathematical portion and study guidance was amazing; it allowed me to feel confident and take the tests with ease. I was able to complete the course and pass both the school and State test in less than 3 weeks. Thank you.
what a great experience to have Jim Watson for a tutoring session for both the School and State exams. i felt somewhat knowledgeable of the subject matter for the exams, however, after the sessions i felt 100% confident in my ability to pass, AND I DID! very grateful to Jim for essentially being able to help me enter the field which i plan to succeed in. His $75 real estate state practice exam course is well worth the money. I've learned everything in 2 hours. More than what I actually learned in the 75 hour course in another school. He knows a lot of what is on the test. He was very helpful and trust me listening to it over and over is key to passing the real estate exam. When I went to take my exam, once I opened the exam booklet I was very confident that I would pass the test. I was really easy after taking his tutoring for the state exam.
While going to RE classes at NYREI I met a great instructor Jim Watson. While most instructors just followed the book, Jim always made the material interesting with real stories from the field. I always learned something from his classes. Jim made sure all students understood the material. He is very patience and dedicated to teaching Real Estate.
I recently took the investment class with Jim and what an eye opener. If one is going to spend money on any classes this should be the one!! I am working numbers and hope to soon have an investment property thanks to the lessons I learned from Jim Watson.

Jim Watson is a terrific instructor. I first met Jim when I was in real estate school, and he was instructor. After school, I attended his Real Estate for Wealth Building & Retirement Income Workshop. Jim's workshop is a terrific, informative, attention-keeping introduction to real-estate investment. If you're new to investing in real estate and interested in learning the basics, take Jim's workshop. You'll be glad you did. Jim is a successful, informed, entertaining instructor.
Jim Watson is fantastic! He truly cares about his students and does his best at helping when and where he can. My license expired some time ago and he jumped right in and helped me get ready for my test. He was incredibly communicative via email and answered my messages instantly. It's a special thing to find someone that simply wants to help and see a person succeed. With that being said, I'm lucky to have had the pleasure of crossing paths with Jim Watson!
