Jim Watson is more than an amazing teacher! His depth of knowledge, his love of his profession and his generosity in sharing his experiences make his classes invaluable. It is clear that he wants us all to succeed and is willing to go above and beyond to help and advise. He offers much more than textbook learning and I always try to arrange my schedule to take his classes. He is awesome!

Class with Jim Watson doesn't even feel like class...it feels like you are getting advice from a very successful individual who clearly knows what he is talking about. Jim is very available to the students and truly wishes the best for them. He talks with you, not at you. Jim's sense of humor is a major bonus to his classes as well.

There are many teachers to choose from at the New York Real Estate Institute. All are knowledgeable, but some are more entertaining and informative than others. If you don't want to be "bored" and want to learn things that will actually help you in your career, then you must attend when Jim teaches. The other instructors give you what you need to pass the test, but Jim gives you what you need to actually earn a living!

Jim teaches and does not read from a book. The absolute best way to learn! He adds intelligent insight regarding the modern day real estate market from first-hand experiences. Thank you for preparing me for the state and NYREI school test!

You are my Favorite teacher at NYREI. I allowed my license to expire and came back to your class for tutoring, doubting I could pass, but after your class I am so excited and can't wait to take the test and PASS. You have a unique way of teaching that helps me retain information!! Thanks so much!

I just finished my classes at NYREI and I have to say that Jim Watson made it a really enjoyable process. He's incredibly knowledgeable, as well as great at giving real life examples of how we would use what we were learning. He kept it interesting! He was readily available for students' questions and showed a genuine concern in wanting us to do well. By far one of my favorite teachers in all of my education.

JIM WATSON, hands down has to be the most experienced and up to date instructor / broker that NYREI luckily offers you when you sign up with them. His classes are packed which is really no surprise, my advice is .... if you're interested in getting into the game and need some one successful mentoring you "START OF BY JUST GOING TO HIS CLASSES, NOT TO MENTION HIS TUTORING SESSIONS". His teaching technique is absolutely unmatchable. One thing i love about Jim is he gets to the point, and genuinely cares about his students' success, teaching you the stuff you need to succeed as well as other extras that will help you through and through even after you leave NYREI. In a nutshell....EXQUISITE TEACHER WITHOUT A DOUBT!!!!

Great instruction - both in terms of test preparation and real life experience. Really a gem of an instructor. Worth every penny. A bit of advice from his last class was two authors that every would be real estate tycoon should read, some advice on where to vacation when you have the big bucks, and some insider techniques for being more successful.

Jim is a great teacher - he knows the material inside-out. Additionally, he focuses on what you need to know to pass your test. His style of teaching is great for people that learn by examples. He never reads the text book, he tells you relevant stories that make you remember the material. I wish I had more college professors like Jim.

Jim is hands on and makes himself very available to questions. If I had to do it all over again, I would only take his classes.

Mr. Watson is a great teacher. I took his class in order to learn the real estate laws needed to manage real estate properties in the New York area. Jim Watson is very hands on and explains the lessons. His sense of humor makes the lessons more interesting.I am grateful because if I have any questions I know that he is available and willing to help me. I am hoping to work with him in a future project real soon.I strongly recommend NYREI it's excellent. Thank you. Geri

When I started researching where to study for my Real Estate Salesperson license, the only logical choice was NYREI. The flexible class schedule fit my lifestyle perfectly and I was able to finish in 4 weeks. But what proved most valuable to me were my tutoring sessions with Jim Watson. Both the School Exam and the State Exam Tutoring were invaluable experiences. I was confident going into each exam and passed both - the fact that I was able to sail through all 75 questions in under 30 minutes was the icing on the cake.
Jim has the ability to take factual, some may even call dry, information and make it interesting and applicable to our future careers. His classes, as well as his tutoring, are engaging and a real pleasure. Thanks Jim (and NYREI)!

Jim Watson not only makes learning about real estate fun and entertaining; he's able to do it with real life examples and personal testimonies. I look foward to attending future classes of his.

Jim Watson is easily one of the best instructors at NYREI. He provides everything one could hope to get from a real estate instructor, one who offers both precise textbook information and is a veteran in the field. He is very generous with his real life experiences, is agreeable, engaging, and genuinely cares about his students.
Many thanks.

There are many teachers at NYREI, and even more recruiters that come through to speak to you about becoming a Sales There are many teachers at NYREI, and even more recruiters that come through to speak to you about becoming a Sales Agent. It becomes overwhelming. Most of the recruiters say the same thing, and it all can become very discouraging and overwhelming at times. Other times, it is completely inflated dreams - with that same NYC attitude - "Hey, it's business, it's not personal". But, that's the problem - it's always personal to someone. That is why Jim Watson is so valuable to the school. He makes it feel personal. First, he has so many years of industry experience, so you trust him. And with that experience, it never feels inflated, it is steady (some good, some bad - but honest, and steady). But the most important part, if you look to him for help and guidance, he always treats you as an individual person and does his best to help you - no matter how busy he gets. He really is great! And, I say this with over 10 years of Account Management experience in top 10 Advertising agencies throughout NYC. The best! He would make a great Account Manager! :)

Jim's undeniable passion for real estate makes him an excellent teacher. His teaching style is great as he provides scenarios going beyond the books and into the practical, real world of real estate!

Having passed the school test, I don't need to re-take any of the classes, but I'd go back for any ones that Jim teaches that I missed.

Taking Jim's classes pays off...LITERALLY!!!

I took Jim's adamant advice and requested copies of my amortization schedules for rental property I own. I compared the amortization schedule to my form 1098 mortgage interest statement which shows actual interest paid. I noticed that I actually paid $600 more in interest last year than what was listed on the amortization schedule. So, I called the bank to inquire.

Net Net - the bank "said" they made an error. To correct it, they applied a $600 credit to my principal. This is a huge benefit to have the principal lowered even a little. Furthermore, the $600 interest deduction was probably worth about $200 to me in real dollars. But the $600 being applied to the principal on my loan is worth a solid $600 to me. Hey so I think I'll frame this amortization schedule going forward...LOL!

I looking forward to continuing education credit in Jim's Profit Lab class next!!! I'm sure there's so much more to learn from him!!!
